I have the Private White peacoat and it is outstanding. I get compliments on it frequently. I almost went for the longer (bridge coat?) collab with Permanent Style, but I went with the more casual peacoat which for me was a better choice.
FWIW I have the riders jacket (IHJ-35) and the leather on it is spectular. I would put it on par with my Shinki from Himel and better than the aero cxl I have and the vincenza the IH replaced. I’ve had it less than a year, so I can’t as yet truly talk about long term use. But it has broken in...
I think goat is really the way to go. Light and tough and though it may not patina like cxl, grain and the way it contours to the body make up for it. Look on the Himel IG for some photos of the Frobisher in goat and you’ll see what I mean.
Yes it is. Very happy with the jacket. I use it when working outside and it is perfect for that.
Will add to the others saying that IH is the way to go for denim jackets. I have 2 from them and really, I can’t imagine a better product.
@Lederer (or anyone else interested) here are some photos of the waist with adjusters all the way out and completely tightened. I’m getting 23.25 and 20.75 respectively, so looks like the smaller range you mentioned. You can direct message me if still interested.
