Hi Will, I think that is doable. If you only put a few cards in button part, I don't even think I would need to stitch in gussets. Would you want the other parts of the wallet to be standard and just replace one side with a button compartment? Cheers!- FlatCap99

Do you mean something more like a card holder instead of a full wallet? This could slide easily into any pants pocket or even a coat pocket...or if you have a vest with a functional pocket, you may be able to fit a 2 tier in there with a watch chain on it :)- FlatCap99

Thanks VestCoast, There are probably an extra couple chain links in the pocket with the centered attachment clip. I had the same concern, but once I put it in it wasn't as much extra as I thought.
