    Quick Campdraft comparison vid.

I have 4 Campdrafts in my usual rotation, a beater, older fawn (no liner, just a tip sticker); a Heritage Silverbelly; a Heritage Moonstone; & a TFL special Imperial Bluegrass Green. I've owned & passed on Imperial Silverbelly, Bluegrass Green, Glenn Grey, Mid-Brown & Fawn, all that I bought...

Ask a question, get an answer

Get some talcum powder & give the hat a good dusting & rub it in to the felt with your fingers & let it sit for awhile. A good stiff brushing will get the talc out & take a lot of foreign matter with it. For the liner, remove & soak in cold water with a bit of Woolite, hand agitated, line dry.

That is a solid black pool table cover it is sitting on, so there is a good deal of flash bounce in those photos. Here is a Moonstone Fed4 for comparison....

    Justified FX Hat

Trimmed my Carson with no trouble. Get a pencil, ruler, sharp scissors, sandpaper. Use the ruler to mark width all around, about 1/16" wider than desired, then connect the dots, cut along the line to the inside. Use sandpaper to smooth out the edge.

    M.C. Gannon Hat Company

Wanderer is just a Playboy with a bound edge, same ribbon hatband.

    Akubra Campdraft

Only to Hat Nerds like us. Most folks won't see the differences but the sweatband is the most noticeable improvement. The felt density & finish is better plus the ribbons used for hatband & edge binding are a notch up from Imperial. I have 2 Heritage CD's, 1 because I bugged them to offer it &...

Tour of Hatco/Resistol/Stetson factory in Garland

The Outlet Store alone is worth the trip over. Hope Dave is there, he's full of hat info. My next "trip goal" is to go to felting plant in Longview , TX. Not sure if they even have tours but will check that out before heading for that neck of the woods...

HOLY GRAIL? /What fedoras are you pining for?

I have 2 7X CB's, one is 50''s model & other is much younger. The youngster feels just like my 100 & they are both from the same period. The older has been thru a refurb but I would not associate "floppy" with it.
