This thread brought back to mind memories of my youth as a young rockabilly kid, struttin' around like a (bantam weight!) rooster in my black leather jacket and thinking, "Man I ain't interested in any brown leather jacket. Only black leather is cool." Ah, the folly of youth . . .
Possibly the nicest-looking grizzly I've seen yet Dude; not to detract from other guys' grizzlies, it's just that your Himel is the one that appeals to me personally the most. Great pics with in sunlight to show the rich colour and character of the jackets too.
He 'spared no expense'!*
* My family's classic quote from Jurassic Park when John Hammond refers to the narrator for the park tour and later again when Laura Dern says the ice cream tastes great while everything else is falling apart around them. Every time we see the movie, it gets brought out...
Another very thoughtful post from you, Supe, and an interesting topic for discussion.
When a buddy first clued me in to this site nearly 14 years ago (!!!), it was much more Golden Era-oriented, especially in terms of the Suits and Outerwear sections. There were a lot of great knowledgeable...
Now there's a jacket that don't take no $#@& from anyone! The rest of us go from black leather to brown & maybe a blue. You go from red and now go to black! The J 24 rocks and so do you.
They explain it all on the Wild One site Carlos posted the link to. They describe it like this:
脇の下には左右4つずつのベンチレーション(通気孔)があります。
(微妙に見難いかもしれませんが、袖の付け根にはアクションプリーツが設けられています。)
Hahahahahahahahaha! :D:p:D
I don't gamble, smoke, do drugs and very rarely have the odd drink; I pay my taxes and bills on time, keep my mortgage up to date, and live a responsible life. Still, in spite of all that, at times the guilts can get you, like you feel bad for wanting or, when possible, buying that special...
The more I see it, the more I like it, and I liked it plenty to begin with. I don't know if it's just your lighting Tony but that has to be just about the richest cordovan colouring I've seen here. It's such a deep, rich oxblood. The collar is the icing on the cake.
I've made no secret of my love for that design & of course the workmanship is superb. I'm so happy for you Dude. It looks the bees knees.
I also gotta say you look way cool in the hat man, in spite of your lady's misgivings.
Now you've gone and done it, RD. I've actually drooled on my keyboard. I put equal blame on Theodoros. That is the Clark Gable of leather jackets right there, man.
And this time next year, with an extra three new jackets under his belt and 12 more months hanging around with us mugs, Mr Shrimp will be posting, "I swear I've got one last jacket coming . . ." :p
Great review, and it looks awesome on you! If my Dad was still alive I could imagine him asking, "If you stroke the hair on that jacket, does it purr?" :D:eek:
I'm really enjoying seeing the ELMC jackets on here & I love that Californian PN.
@ton312 you know that cordovan is like stormtrooper armour only in a better colour! You're made to wear that style (& bootleggers & cafe racers & .....
@Bfd70 add me to the list of guys who are looking forward...
There was a brief period, only a couple of weeks, while I was waiting for that jacket to arrive when I started to re-think my wisdom in taking a chance on the red fox. Would it be too red? Of course any doubt went right out the window as soon as I opened the box from Carrie. I'm glad you dig it...
