So, are you saying the slouch hat David Morgan sells is not the full military quality hat? Is it a cheaper, less durable quality that won't take the abuse of the genuine military Akubra slouch? How long do hats continue to shrink?
I can attest to the fact that Akubras start out just a hair oversized and shrink to fit within a few wearings. I must have a perfect 59 cm head because I can never get a Stetson 7 3/8 size to fit, but an Akubra 59 cm fits like the maker took hand measurements of my head. How to Store Hats
I always thought it was best to store the hat in the box it came in. Is this not the case? I have some Stetson hat boxes left over from hats I gave to Goodwill, and I store my Akubras in them with hat jacks.- Doc Glockster
