Well, again, he was trained to be a pilot and by learning to fly earned his wings and also his Brigadier General rank but his uniform and jacket were issued by supply.
Uh..actually Stewart was issued the A2 and added the patch of his unit. He did earn his rank. Or at least that was the way it was when I was in the military.
My advice would be...not to touch it. It looks very good as is. Washing it would not 'loose' up some color but might lose some color. To make it darker or more blue you would have to dye it which IMO would ruin the jacket.

I prefer cotton drill in all of my leather jackets now after having alpaca and herring bone liners in some of my previous jackets. If needed I layer with an insulated vest of which I have several in different colors. For me it does make my jackets much more versatile.....
Yep..I don't baby my jackets..but don't want them scratched up either ( like leaning against a brick wall )...but rubbed smooth wear is a nice outcome.

Aaah..I love good pork BBQ. The pork makes for best taste and the sauce is also key. For a brand BBQ sauce I like 'Sweet Baby Ray's' which actually has a nice simple somewhat spicey tang. Slaw is always good with BBQ'

Not my jacket but it belonged to a member here several years ago. He had just gotten it relined as per photo so the jacket had been used for quite awhile. I saved this pic because I liked the patina.

It's according to which jacket maker you go with as their hides can differ. I prefer buffalo ..but Thedi's hide is my favorite. It has the buffalo's somewhat heavy grain but with a crisp finish. Goat is not appealing to me simply because of the pebbly finish that most often continually looks new...
I am certainly surprised that drying the wet jacket out in the hot sun didn't shrink it. I got caught in the rain a few years ago on a MC trip wearing a leather jacket. After a good drenching I rode a couple hundred miles in the hot sun. The jacket shrank somewhat all over...but the sad part was...
