I have learned different fabrics give you different results, even with using the same pattern design. The wool's are lighter and with a thin silk lining they do seem to ride higher. Thanks for the feedback everyone, much appreciated!! -

This is a patchwork I made from other caps of mine, the wool's originally come from coats then cut up for caps and then taken apart and re-cut to a newer design of mine, the bill and button are from a work wear cap made with bull denim cotton.- Simonds

well this patchwork cap was created from a couple of different caps that didn't quite win my approval, the bill belonging to a work wear cap but, yes the stitching holds the interfacing I used in that particular one. I now have discovered fusible interfacing so the bills don't need all those... -

Just finished up this patchwork with a combo of wool and cotton. I don't see many patchworks on here, but they are a favorite of mine. Enjoy!! -

Maybe I should consider a detachable flap, something to think about. I don't like the feel of this wool on my skin, so I couldn't see making the insides matching. I don't like the contrasting flaps on top either, looks a bit silly I must say. Thanks for the feedback guys. -
