Hey guys,
Just picked up a sweet old Bates (thanks @Will Zach and @ton312 for helping with the ID ), but need a replacement main zipper. Size-wise II think it #5, 19".
Prices on Ebay are bananas for old Talons etc, and I feel like the wise members of this forum may know a better way.
The...
I feel a trade brewing maybe? Hopefully my pants get released this week and I can get some exact measurements. They're coming with a beauty 60's Columbia that looks mint too.
Dude sorry to derail your Classified post! But I have to show you this...needed to have the zipper replaced, which they've done at Langlitz...shipped direct from the seller. This one will hopefully arrive this week too, and check out how well they would match...
@Monitor if they ever get through bloody customs I'll let you know! I bought a set of leathers from Iowa a few weeks ago and they've been held since last week. I don't even have a pic of the pants! The jacket is 60s for sure (Coats and Clark), but I can't say with certainty when the pants are...
This one makes some wild claims....but I wanted to get your impressions. Owner thinks 1920s (it's not), Pretty sure the Indian patch is a later addition too. That said, I keep coming back to look at it. What do you guys think?
So this from the seller: Pit to pit is about 18", sleeve from should is about 22.5" and back of collar to hem is just over 23". No labels.
So SUPER small. I guess my kid is going to be looking pretty good in a week or two!
It's almost certainly to small, so I'll clean it up and post pics when I get it! Man I'm on a 60's run! Just waiting for this one to arrive from Langlitz after a main zip repair... Horsehide to boot!
Sh!tty pics I know, but wondering if anyone recognizes this jacket. Looks like 60's early 70s to me based on cut and the chest zip pulls. It's almost free, so I thought I'd ask!
Cheers,
M.
Okay. Thank you everyone for all of the amazing input. I have one incoming this week hopefully. I'll spill the beans on what it is when it arrives.
Cheers,
M.
