I have not handled one of John's Everyman hats so can't help.There are several pics of an Everyman above in Doug's post.
The above discussions are why I suggested phoning one or more makers.
Keep in mind that the "screen accurate"dimensions were for a specific size hat and must be "adjusted" to appear the same as size changes.

Actually two things;First,I've talked to both guys and they're really helpful.Secondly,both were trained/assisted by Steve Delk(Adventurebilt)and John has taken over one part of that business.
Oversimplified but just take a cloth measuring tape and measure around your head in the location where you wear the hat.I'm almost exactly 24",that converts to a 7 5/8.
You may find that you need to dampen the sweatband SLIGHTLY and then leave it on your stretcher to dry.Some hats are stubborn...
