    partly because I have never had a deer skin jacket and party because Debs from SB suggested it would be a good leather choice for the jacket , she did send some samples and photos and it does look nice.

    no photos yet unfortunately, the pattern was made then the pandemic hit, so just waiting on the actual jacket to be made now, the remake will be made with deer skin , I’ll be sure to post pics when I have both jackets in hand

    For what it’s worth Simmons Bilts will create a pattern if you send them the actual jacket, not sure if any other makers will do this, obviously it adds $ to the end cost of the jacket as creating the pattern would be time consuming - I have just been through the same process with a old Swedish...

    Love this jacket Mark, very unique with the pockets, this one will get a lot of wear here in Australia, are you able to confirm its horse or steer? was sold to me horse has no labeling in regard to leather used, have no reason to believe its not horse I also assume chrome tanned?
