The site was rough this morning. I wasn't able to log in. So, I just turned on the ROKU and watched a few old "Rawhide" reruns on Pluto TV. This evening, though, (6:45 pm EST), FL is up and running normal, pretty fast, actually.
I may have something in a medium gray. I'll check to make sure, and if you have enough brim I could probably do something pretty close to a Prince Charley clone.
It's 5:23 this a.m., (est). The site is running normal. I'll give it a check later on today to see if it follows the same pattern of fast in the early morning hours and slowing down as the day wears on.
I've got a Resistol 3X and a Knox Stagecoach that I refurbished and recreased with Montana Pinches and 'Mule Kicks'. They're one of my favorite creases for a big Western. The Resistol is a silvery Palomino(?) color. It's a fairly big hat with a 6 1/2 inch open crown and 4 inch brim. The biggest...

It's currently 5:47 a.m. (est) for me right now and the site is running normal. Later on today it'll probably start running slow and choppy again. That's been the pattern for me for a while.
Well, it's a little more involved than just hot tap water, but still a very simple and easy method. I mostly use steam to soften the felt. On the more stubborn projects I use both hot water and steam. On shrinking the felt down a size or two I use hot water to soak the felt and soften it up...
A reposting of another of my conversions. Gray Resistol Stagecoach that was gifted to me by a generous Lounger a couple years back. Reblocked to a larger size and converted to a Longhair fedora. I scavanged the ribbon from another hat and reused it on this Resistol.
