From eBay, came in the mail today, and what I believe is an original jacket from the war. I have reproductions from nearly all the makers that do these jackets and everything about this jacket seems correct. Fits me to a tee as well. Can’t believe my luck!
Wish they could do it in blue horsehide or goat (they can’t I checked) but I am going to give their lamb skin a try. Looking forward to checking it out in person
Forgive my ignorance, it’s not like teacore where a color underneath will come through but rather the way it ages is different than other leathers? It looks more worn over time than other finishes of leather will?
I asked Shawn this same question. I don’t know he difference but he said anything in goat from the website is premium. The standard is what is ordered off Amazon or eBay. My guess is that the standard is just thinner.
I have heard a lot about the premium goatskin and asked Shawn about it.. he told me everything ordered from the website in goat is the premium goatskin. But if you order off eBay or Amazon or something it’s not
They are made in Pakistan. I think there quality is great. I think they are worth more than you pay for them, but I also wonder if the others are worth less than you pay for them so go figure
This is a new Schott leather pea coat, brown. Believe it’s old stock, got it off eBay. Was new with tags when I got it, I have only tried it on around the house. Labeled size 40 but with the cut could probably be worn up to a size 44.
