Maybe, another possibility I think is more likely is that the highest bidder instantly felt buyer's remorse and messaged the seller to cancel which will then pass down the to next highest bidder. Other than that, most listings state that if you have many negative evaluations or feedback, or you...
A bit hard to tell in this image since I'm wearing a loose t-shirt and shorts (heatwave over here in Sydney)
I think it looks fine from some angles, but quite big from others.
Yes it is, 30s "Mobster" jacket. I think the body width would be fine if it was a little shorter? I feel it's a little too big all around with the current length. It's close to fitting, I think a size down would do the trick, but maybe I just prefer slimmer jackets in general.
Up for sale is this Real McCoys 30s Mobster jacket based on a California Sportswear Company CHP straight zip. Uses Shinki horsehide which is very nice. Rich colour and also precise stitching and construction throughout.
Sad about this, it's close to fitting, but too big for me. Fits TTS/large...
Looks like another miss for me I think, my Real McCoy's jacket came in and it's a bit large. Cut quite wide and boxy, I don't think it looks the best on me. Shame I like the pattern and leather and construction is quite good on this one as well...
Are old denim jackets really particularly dark? Here is an example of a 40's Levis jacket which is deadstock and unworn. It doesn't look any darker than modern jackets to me.
Here is another example, darker but not much darker than similarly made denim today:
For your reference, modern day...
Westride is Japanese. Made in USA, or at least many of them are.
Westride usually goes for around that price, they retail around $1100-ish mark? (Depending on the jacket)
Fair price considering it's imported already into the US
Here are some sold listings from Yahoo Japan which range around...
For me, it is this Vanson Model E, although it doesnt fit my personal stylistic preferences of shorter torso length, it fits me well other than that. I will still be holding it for the time being, although got my eyes peeled for an older Model C2 which probably fits my preferences for torso...
Blue cafe racers are maybe the coolest colour they come in (after black maybe), I am still hunting on a blue Brooks Cafe Racer in my size, because they are just undeniably cool. I don't wear too many bright colours, but a blue cafe racer is a very welcome exception to that.
Yeah, but you need to justify why it is not as described. You can't just choose the reason without objective proof or else Paypal will side with the seller. "Item not as described" is the complaint category for stuff such as items sent in wrong size, etc. you can't just say it's not as described...
No, there is no Buyer Protection, the only way they can return their money is via credit card chargeback which is more difficult as a buyer and takes a few months. Needs significantly more proof, etc. and in some cases a police report, or similar, so it is very rare. Also, I believe doing a...
That's the thing though, "they didn't fit" isn't any criteria or grounds for refund so his reason doesn't work out. From the original post: "Paypal complaint, sent a photo of a foot not fitting in the shoe, and says that I didn't send him what I advertised (new in box 9.5D JL boots that fit...
This Jerseyfresh guy.... If you don't know your size, just pay the extra and get it from a retail store! (Probably sized off his Nike size lol) Screw that guy, he cheaped out on a second hand sale, the expectation is no refunds/exchanges and probably just wants to force the Paypal return when he...
This one is on it's way to me. The Real McCoy's (Joe McCoy) Mobster jacket. Fingers crossed for the fit.
Based on Californian Sportswear Co. jacket? I wonder if I can get a nice matching belt somewhere. What would be the period accurate spec? I've seen those embossed basketweave pattern ones...
