What hat are you waiting for today?

“My name’s Bob and I’m a hataholic” “Welcome Bob!” “I’m to the point that I’m rationalizing the purchase of a size 6-7/8 hat because my 9-month-old granddaughter *might* wear it someday” “This guy may be beyond helping”

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

A cheap beater in 7-3/8 that I can wear as the unreeded sweat is coming loose. :p Made for the Gano-Downs department store in Denver. 3” brim, 5-1/2” crown. The otherwise too easily shaped felt wants to stay in this somewhat organic crease. Works for me as this ghost is refusing...

    USPS Ground Advantage Gripes

You should ask the eBay seller if they would ship via the carrier / service-level of your choice and then invoice you for any bump in the rate. They have all the options at the time of label creation. I set my auctions up with Priority as the default option and USPS Ground as a cheaper...

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Early 1960s (I think) Savona. Is Monbasa new to the thread? This wind trolley string was about half again as long as I’m used to and I could not get the button to land near the bow.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Very cool! There is a town around here (Marionville, MO) known for their white squirrels. No one there wears hats like you do Eric!

    Hat Fitment

Any calculators for an egg shaped oval (ovoid)? If shopping I typically look for a length and width that match my size 7-1/2 LO head (taken from a hat that fits me well). The circumference could be the same if a regular oval (slightly shorter and slightly wider).

    HATS WITH HISTORY

I remember going to a family reunion at Roscoe, Missouri in the 1980s and at the old family place (my wife’s great-grandparents) we were shown an old wagon in the barn with “C. Younger” painted on the side. There was some dispute between my wife’s grandfather and a sibling over who should have...

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

I almost never seen a vintage hat at a brick and mortar Goodwill. They usually end up online on their auction site.
