50s Stevens upsized restoration very recently finished for a local, long time, good friend.
Also have a Resistol western about done for him as well. We’re the same size and good friends so I know he won’t mind me wearin his hat for these shots.

Was a ton of work. I had erroneous thoughts of whipping it out in a quickness.
Not so.
Was seeing smaller, factory built knife display cases that were priced $250/350.
Thought that was too much.

I’ll stick to this all original Collins and Fairbanks—and a chew—for my statement.

I’d say it was a new, original idea and for me it was, but I also thought the gold stitching around the top of my sweatbands was a new, never been done before idea, then I recently saw another hatter posted here has been doing it. :-(
