The third and favourite of today's arrivals:
A Horne Brothers, ca. Edwardian era Top Hat.
The Henry & Co has a height of 13cm, while the Horne Brothers is 15cm:
Both in wonderful condition.
Again, more to come in the Toppers Unite thread.
The second of the three items;
a Henry & Co Top Hat:
I've not been able to find anything about this company.
Interesting to see the size is mentioned on the sweat. You don't often see that on a Top Hat, especially in English, US, and French sizes.
More to come in the Toppers Unite thread.
A joyous day today. I had to go out to three different places to pick up some recently bought items. I'd gladly do it again.
Two hats and one hat related item. The latter first.
A print:
A La Grande Maison was a departement store on Rue Auber in Paris with other stores at other locations...
Nice looking hat, Marcel.
I've only ever seen Vancina hats, which Borsalino bought up at some point after WWII, with the designation "styled by Borsalino".
Be interesting to see what, if any, labels there are under the sweat.
That is one cool and unusual way to wear a Whippet. It looks like a Homburg.
A classic Whippet is on my bucket list. Love the way you wear yours though, Mm25.
That's a Borsalino Gorasgu, Don.
The first name is the colour, which means ice. The middle name is the colour of the ribbon; silver grey as in the chemical element.
Borsalino were very inventive with their choices of names. Too inventive perhaps.
Great looking 3X, Nathan.
Jim gave some good advice re the liner to your Twenty-Five. Personally, I'd just let it hang outside on the washing line for a few days / weeks. Fresh air often helps.
Back in 2006, I painted and decorated a summer house my wife at the time and I had bought with that album on constant play. Johnny Cash was on, too.
Strange Pork Pie bash for the 25. Looking forward to seeing your new version, Nathan.
For an evening gad about, a 1940s Carlton Homburg sold at the wonderful establishment of A. Meers, Strasbourg.
I'm really looking forward to warm weather. While I wait, I can still wear my felts.
I've always liked the look of that one, Nathan.
Glad to hear you, the family, and house are safe and sound. Hope your 25 arrives safely soon, too.
Whenever I hear about the twisters you guys have over there, I always think of this one from the Boss.
Thanks, Joe. An honour to be on the list with all those other great hats.
Appreciate it coming from someone like your good self who knows more than a thing or two about hats.
