Your picture links are broken in the thread you linked above? Did you just move them in your photobucket account, or are they gone for good? I can host them if you need some space.
I think you may have had just a snack car, and not a true dining car. The dining car on Amtrak is like a sit-down restaurant, where a waiter takes your order and you're served after your food is prepared. I was on Amtrak to DC for business back in May and took advantage of the dining car on the...
That's good info about keeping your computers safe, but we have to make sure that we're not talking about p2p downloading of music and other materials. Thanks!
Excellent news.
We haven't changed anything here, so it seems our theory about the domain name servers taking a little while to update may be true.
*crosses fingers*
Folks are welcome to post all the "beautiful, vintagefied pics" they want...in threads appropriate to what they're showing off.
Got a new dress or suit? There's threads for such in the Powder Room, or in General Attire.
New makeup or hairstyle? Beauty's the place for you.
New vintage...
I think a slightly narrower brim would look better, and your felt looks like butter-- smooth and supple. I'd like to see the ribbon in daylight, and I do like the bow treatment.
Have any of you still suffering problems (and familiar enough with computers) got a copy of the IP if you try and ping the site, or a copy of the tracert?
That's pretty much it. Add to that the fact that there are multiple "postal workers" who keep track of who lives where. Your mail carrier may not have heard from the others that the server is now on Mars. In a sense, by switching your DNS, you're bypassing your ISP's mail carrier for another...
I have been unable to replicate the problem on my own. I've been on the lounge every single day and night since it's been back up without any problems, so a DNS issue it more than likely the problem. The next time you or anybody else is having problems getting to the site please shoot an email...
I'm guessing it is one of the threads lost, and probably doesn't need to be started up again. It was started several years ago if I recall correctly, and since some folks around here change their avatars every other day or so, it becomes unwieldy at best, and inaccurate almost instantly...
Again, a little difficult to explain.
Domain Name Servers (DNS) "talk" to each other several times daily (often more than that), spreading around domain names (i.e. www.thefedoralounge.com) and their corresponding IP addresses (i.e. 123.456.789). Your particular DNS may be "hearing" from...
Those of you still having problems that know how to modify your DNS settings on your computer, try using this IP address as your DNS.
4.2.2.1
The likely problem is probably related to some folks' ISPs not updating their DNSs fast enough. MissNeecerie explained it in layman's terms over in the...
