Are ALL the vintage hats in your area as clean as the ones you post? Yours are always so cleqn and sharp looking..... If so I may have to make plans for a long vacation/ hat shopping trip to Italy! Most the used hats over here are often well used, abused, or neglected lol

50 degrees here in East Texas this morning... Almost Jacket weather again! Mr Moose loves the cool air and has a serious case of the Zoomies this morning lol. Sporting a Stetson Roadster B to keep the hair warm today
Celebrating a sunny afternoon under a slimmed down Stetson Gus ( 2-1/2" brim) with a Bourbon Mango sour ( Bourbon, Mango Nectar, Orange Bitters and a few cherries for good measure)
I have a couple of these cowboy conversions that have reasonable tall crowns and modest brims... Im kinda fond of...
Great... I suspected that boiling water might soften way better than steam. I use a handheld clothing steamer that does get hot and damp, but it doesnt put out a high volume. My steam Iron does a pretty good blast of steam so it does more work on hats than it does on shirts lol. Someday Ill...

My Dad was Army... ( the Redstone Missile Program that put up the first satellite) That pin is either a Masonic or a Lions Club thing. My Marine adventure was taking after Dads cousin in Ragland Al. He was a Para Marine at the start of ww2, survived the Makin Island and Chosul Island raids...
The only issue Ive ever had with my 9 Akubras is deciding which one to wear! lol . One of my 3 stylemasters goes outside just about every week.. Nice refined hats
And Importantly, today November 10th 2024 is the 249th birthday of the United States Marine Corps! Im proud to have been associated with the Big Green Machine for a bit over 50 yrs now. Funny how with passing years and more hair, the hats and uniforms dont fit very well anymore lol...
Think we finally got rid of all the rain and storms for a week ( stormed all night). Finally got out and about. Pulled a little Stetson Weekender off the wall for today
Just a thought... if the goal is a stiff hat... just be sure the hat is broken in / reblocked /or shaped to your head BEFORE copious stiffener is added...it can turn a snug hat into an uncomfortable hat pretty quick
Finally got a tiny bit of sunshine here with a comfortable breeze . Sitting out on the patio in an old Towncraft, with a Celis Belgan White Wheatbeer (with a splash of Mango Nectar) . Topped off with a pipeful of Suttlf Vanilla Custard tobacco... Nice afternoon
