Thank you. I believe I went too low for the crown but the proportions are there. Maybe a Woomera or a Sombrero can do one. More than 4" brim is needed for me.- Joao Encarnado

Well it have arrived like this. Doesn't feel like wool... probably a mix of wool and bunny fur. It's made on 2 parts, not a unique hat body, 3 3/4" brim, and what's left of the sweatband seems to be painted gold with the hatter mark/brand. Sweatband is shot and needs replacement. I think it was Hurricane Jack that keeps talking about a planter hat... so after I got a 3rd Resistol Stagecoach Turkey Creek in black, I decided to give it a go. After I open crown the hat and wet it I did this That ended like this (it's up to you how low you want to go) and let it dry...- Joao Encarnado

How to travel with hats
I traveled several times by airplane with a 4" brim hat. Always on my head. No problem at all. UK weather did it worst than the travel (train/bus/plane) itself.- Joao Encarnado

I think you are trying to hard. I did a similar crease and didn't needed such "brute force". I wet the crown, use my head to push it inverted (like trying to reverse the hat) and let it dry. Later pushed the top of the crown up. It's hard to explain...- Joao Encarnado
