Thanks! Yes, the wind cord doesn't have a button and the cord has no elasticity. What's funny is I don't have an example of a German market Borsalino with a newer type wind cord. :)- mayserwegener

Thank you for posting the photo. The reason I asked is Mayser used a similar foil stamp in probably the same time period as your Stetson (see photo). I think it's highly likely Mayser made your Stetson and Overland Wien sourced from Mayser. Looking forward to seeing your P. & C. Habig Wien...- mayserwegener

Bob, I haven't been able to find patent info on "Ventilo". This hat is definitely early 1940s most likely 1930s because the P. & C. Habig Berlin Store at Friedrichstrasse 82a did not survive WWII.
