Friends, I have a large Cycle King in excellent condition that I would like to trade for a medium. I also have a Large BNIB will sell for 1k. I purchased them from HD museum. The jackets a just big on me.
P.M me if you are interested.
I do like the my vanson model F. The leather used in my jacket reminds me of the CXL. Nice thick and grease. LOL. Vanson take on the jacket is excellent and will treat your wallet with dignity.
I was thinking, it is your jacket. I would not try to impose my opinion over others. However, I think the jacket looks great with the epaulets. If you ride, they can be a factor in keeping you alive in case of an accident.
I believe that capeskin is just a marketing name for sheep. I know it comes from the hills of South Africa but to me is just sheep. I have some Californias that came with that beautiful tan color. I can understand why if you are a pilot would like this hide when you are seating in the cockpit...
If you still have time for hotel at $250 a night this place is a complete bargin: https://reservations.granhoteldelaciudaddemexico.com.mx/95698?hotelid=95698&RatePlanId=3670894#/datesofstay
In my opinion a true landmark and service ok. Not 5 stars but location, location, location.
Nubuck leather is much better than suede leather because it is created by using only the very best of the top in the grain of the hide. However since is not seal, you must be careful using it. I have used suede leather protector spray on nubuck before with great result. Just do not go crazy...
That jacket looks just like my 50's HD. Just when I had it settle as the 1950's HD original producer and erased Blatts as possible maker, this particular model comes around. LOL. One day we will find out the truth. About 10 years ago, I contacted HD for info on the subject, but no luck.
Friend, If you still need a similar belt a low price p.m me. I help you out to transform the belt for free. I have made several belts using period correct leather and rivets and tools to set in the jacket loops properly.
Leather shops in Mexico are oriented to the "fashion trends" The quality of the craftmanship is average. Personally, I can not recommend any leather shops in Mexico.
Friend, there are great places to eat authentic Mexican food. Personally, I love old school traditional Mexican food...
