Nice jacket. I believe it is late 50's. The zip is a replacement. But the other talons are original to the jacket. Those were mainly used in the late 50's. Later in the orange labels they started to use to nice conmars and conmatics. I have both label jackets. I must agree with Jeo...
Wool in top of the line lining. I personally love it. Wood is a quality feature in most coast. I live in hot S. Cal weather and wool is my prefer choice. Back on the day, wool was a touch of quality. As jackets production progress wool was only used by the better quality makers. There is...
Where does this seller gets all this jackets? This seller if full of surprises. That goes to show that there are many cool vintage jackets ready to be found at second hand stores and yard sales.
I believe this is a good reproduction of a cycle champ. I have an original and have seen in the flesh the RM repro. However, this is not the jacket Elvis wore on the Enthusiast magazine. I also had two Aeros which are ok but the "d" pocket is all wrong. It is sad and hard to believe Aero did...
RMC and Vanson make repros of the old HD patterns. The Vanson is a copy of the cycle king not the cycle champ. I like the vanson repro. To me, the only downfall of the jacket is the hide used. Everything else is very good.

Nice jacket. There some wok on the back. But, It is too bad about the belt loop and the zipper hack job. Sleeves, lack the details of this older Cal. At 23" I can rock this thing no problem. Such a nice jacket. Did not get the quality repairs it deserved.
Thanks for the information. The jacket is expensive but some people do like it. I have a HD museum repro made about 20 years ago using the same pattern. I paid about 700 USD I think. Not in the level of craftmanship as your jacket but not bad either. I think it could have been made by...
