    This one showed up the other day… It’s quite cool, and the fit is pretty good. My question is: do I Obenauf’s it? For years I preferred all my brown jackets to go darker, but this one might be better left alone in it’s current nut-brown color. What do you guys think? Here is my test patch:

    All leather jackets! that way you avoid "hanger dimples". I cut my noodles longer than the hanger so they extend down the sleeve a bit.

    Shank sewing isn't difficult, and doesn't require a machine. I took mine to a local seamstress when a button fell off my Thedi- $10.

    Be very careful when choosing conditioners for these jackets. Deerskin handles wax and oils differently than cow or horse. The wrong product can leave your garments feeling sticky or stiff- basically ruining them.

    I find that most black dye is really just dark purple, so I mix brown with it. If there is one that is truly black-black please let me know. Good luck! Please post your results.

    I’m not really certain what I’m doing anymore….but I won this. I’m sure I can blame @ton312 or @torfjord somehow…and I think it would look great with a re-dye.
