Nice, thank you for the unboxing video!
My first target is a pair of Nicks in their Thurman last with a wide toe box.
Once that goal is reached (and I have sold most of my boots) then maybe next year I can think of a pair of MOTOR engineers.
@Drzdave58
I'm very jealous. A pair of MOTOR engineer boots are my grail/dream engineer boots. I want them more than any other pair from other heavy hitters like Role Club, Clinch, John Lofgren, etc...
Not quite sure why, but there's something very unique about them. Maybe the way they overdye...
I've seen these before. Their "Cheyenne" model is something I would consider getting for my wife someday. I don't see any models that I would like myself.
Overall they give me a bit of a Sendra vibe.
Due to the presentation, pricing and being made in Spain. Also using similar leathers it seems...
With those pants I'd go for a longer body.
From the back it looks pretty great.
Shoulder width looks rather good.
Chest (not necessarily pit-to-pit) looks too small.
Hem maybe a bit too wide, hard to tell, but it does stick out.
Waist up front looks a bit tight, but there is clearly room in...
I feel for you OP.
I would also be rather sour and defensive if I bought a made in China movie jacket for around $2420 and the TFL crowd wouldn't be showering it with praises.
I visited one RRL store while I was in London and checked some of their leather jackets. They were all made in India...
Love seeing threads like these, especially if they stay respectful. The opinions and thoughts expressed by OP are so alien and foreign to me that they trigger a very negative reaction. Good practice of trying to see and understand "the other side".
Would gladly pay 400-500 for these in my size. So hard to find this stuff in EU. But most likely I'll eventually bite the bullet and order directly from Nicks and pay the full 800-1000eu including all the shipping and import taxes.
Just found this and wanted to dump it somewhere on TFL.
I guess this thread is as good as any.
Anyone seen this before? Might be an interesting watch:
"Black Leather Jacket - Documentary (1989)"
If you go for SB make sure you demand QC with all measurements done before shipping the jacket out.
If everything turns out great - you'll have a great jacket for a great price. Didn't turn out well for me, had to go for a full refund.
I'd give them another shot myself but I'd be much more...
