"Superbe" is definitely the right superlative for your Mayser, Steve. The sweatband looks as soft and supple as the felt.
Great overall shape and dimensions. What are they, btw?
Thanks, Mark.
I can really recommend Robert at Wolfbrae Custom Hatters @belfastboy for bespoke hats and refurb work of all kinds.
If he lived in Europe, I'd surely avail myself of his services more often.
You're welcome, Marcel.
There's a Bon Ton Ivy thread on the FL. Here's the link:

Post your new Boater here, too. The thread's in need of a bump. It has been a while since anyone has posted a find.
Wolfbrae heather felt Pork Pie. Gary @The Shoe mentioned this one the other day in the Wolfbrae thread. Inspired me to give it a spin today.
I quite like wearing this Pork Pie brim down. Robert did a great job on it.
Congrats on the recent haul, Marcel. Some very nice finds. My favourite is the Boater with its lovely wide ribbon and Bon Ton Ivy sown sweatband. Late 20s early 30s I'd say.
Remember to post it in the Boater Faction thread.
I'm so happy to hear I've "inspired" you to delve further into the joys of the Pork Pie hat, Gary
Robert is correct when he says the one he created for me has a 2" brim. The crown height is 4".
I have several Pork Pies with different brim widths and crown heights.
Robert's Tonak...
Always love seeing your MacLachlans hats, Max. I imagine wearing one while enjoying a MacLachlans whisky.
Hope you're out of the hospital soon and back on the links in one of your wonderful hats.
