It’s a great jacket. A good friend of mine has a size 40 HWM in the heavy steer(Connelly, I believe) from back in the early 90s. I purchased it from a biker gear shop and wanted it to fit so badly.. the tag size 40 just swallowed me up, so I gave that one to him and it fits him to a T. That...
@Moostyle : I will try to get you a pic of the tobacco later today. I would not say that this one has evolved from its original color in any way yet. I bought it new over the summer, and it hasn’t seen tons of wear. The BR I had in Russet Badalassi did however see a few rain showers and lots of...
Offering my Aero Highwayman for sale. Tag size is 36, but due to the known generous cut of this design, it fits like a comfortable size 40. This is CXL Horsehide in black. I purchased it new from Thurston Bros in March of 2021 and have worn it in rotation with my other 2 main jackets. It is just...
Crash the party! Yes, CXL rocks... funny, I’ve had my Badalassi wet several times, but never Vicenza. No issues whatsoever getting the Badalassi wet in my experience. Well said that Vic can be boring out of the box, but does evolve.
I feel like Vicenza IS hit or miss and in my experience has varied from batch to batch over the years. I’ve owned several Vic jackets, and have received a few Vic fit jackets as well. Compared to CXL and Badalassi, I find the brown tones in Vicenza are a little on the bland side. I’ve only...
This is most likely a shot in the dark, but I would love to find a natural CXL Sheene size 38 or 40, or a Seven in size 42. If anyone has one they don’t wear often, let me know and you can have my money!
Not sure if this question was directed toward anyone in particular, but I believe either of the cars that you mentioned would be worthy coast to coast machines. Both cars are plenty powerful and both have excellent cornering/braking capabilities. I’ve not driven a GT350, but can say that it’s...
I love jeeps, especially the little TJ. I’ve had several over the years. I took a break for a couple of years while I owned the Viper, but it was time to go back! The Viper was great, but I like to explore
Hmmm.. for me it started somewhat recently, around 2018. For years I’d spent more time on my motorcycles than in any car. Strangely, jackets were just a tool, and I never really found one that I thought looked good on me. If they were comfy, they were oversized. I came across an old Brimaco...
Yes, in my experience with it, the Badalassi will stretch more with wear than any Vicenza jackets I’ve had, but I probably wouldn’t size down counting on stretching as Jin mentioned. I feel like the Badalassi also has some “give” as well with movement, more so than Vic or CXL horse. Maybe...
You’re probably asking the wrong guy. There are many others on here with far more experience. I’ve never heard of that particular stuff. I just use Obenauf’s, because I’ve always used it. I’d assume it’s fine?
I’m not sure if the squeaky is related solely to the stitched areas or if it’s the nature of the hide, but the light Obenauf’s treatment sure didn’t hurt the appearance, and it really took care of the squeak that was left after a couple months of wear.
