Does anyone have a Real McCoy AND a Buzz Rickson N-1?

I edited my post about the details of the fabric. I attached a photo of an original early 1944 first pattern khaki N-1. The differences are minor. I believe the original weave is denser or tighter in lack of a better word.

Does anyone have a Real McCoy AND a Buzz Rickson N-1?

Thank you! There are far more knowledgeable members here, though. I know very little compared.

Does anyone have a Real McCoy AND a Buzz Rickson N-1?

Nowadays there are many different fabrics refered to as "Jungle Cloth", "Jungle Cross" and they come in various weights. It is really difficult to judge what "real Jungle Cloth" must be like if one can't compare to the original side by side. Also the cotton used today differs alot from the...

Why I do not recommend Simmons Bilt Type B-7 parka

It becomes clear to me that this was designed as a coat instead of a jacket. I can see now what others said. S-B have made a jacket. Found another one. Although the positions of the pockets seem closer to the originals in the "jacket" he recieved than it appears in the product photo from the...

Why I do not recommend Simmons Bilt Type B-7 parka

Just curious, is this a B-7?

Why I do not recommend Simmons Bilt Type B-7 parka

Of course this is nitpicking from my side.

Why I do not recommend Simmons Bilt Type B-7 parka

Yes, I know but I think it was not instantly clear to others to whose post the second part refers. So it could be read as if it was also one of mine.

But you will agree this could be read as if the other post could also have been mine.

Why I do not recommend Simmons Bilt Type B-7 parka

With respect, I don't agree. I can't read it this way, maybe because I am not a native english speaker. Perhaps natives can read it this way. If someone reads it this way or wants to read it this way, I should make it clearer. I have no intention in defending a company when they don't take...

I hope nobody understands my messages that way. I don't defend nor do I accuse anybody.

Why I do not recommend Simmons Bilt Type B-7 parka

At least I learnt some really funny english name-callings I kept for later use. This is one of them! Great stuff for me :)

Why I do not recommend Simmons Bilt Type B-7 parka

I think there are three things here. The first is that there is somebody nobody else here knows who comes with a first post telling us why he doesn't recommend S-B because of his own experience he describes. The choice for other readers is if they judge a company because of this alone. And...

Why I do not recommend Simmons Bilt Type B-7 parka

I don't know S-B from experience. But as I get it, they offered a return but this was refused by the buyer. Isn't it then a slightly better way to accept their offer and give them the chance to correct the issue or pay the money back, instead of deciding to keep it as it is and enter a public...

    The Deck Jacket thread.

I don't think it' worth troubling other people for a jacket or pants like these. It happens very seldom that I buy something in the US. That patricular jacket cost me $ 90 plus 45 shipping. Don't know how much I could have saved. I didn't have to pay import duties. I sometimes wonder why...

    The Deck Jacket thread.

Funny, I tried to get those, too. But no luck in my size so far. I know a fellow Lounger who has 'em in my size (36 inches) but don't dare to ask him, if he wants to get rid of them. There are many on ebay.com, most from US. But shipping costs make them quite expensive. I paid $45 shipping costs...
