I've watched it many times and found it significant in one overlooked aspect. Korea was the first time U.S. armed forces fought as an "integrated" unit. Until this time Blacks and Whites were, by regulation, not allowed to fight and die together, other than White Officers commanding "Colored"...
Glad you enjoyed it. As ex-Army and a "Rivet Head" I usually pour over WWII films for accuracy, however I was so taken by the drama and story I didn't focus on the details of the arms, uniforms etc... Good looking out.

To me, the best part of the "Thin Man" series is the running gag between Nora and Nick's "acquaintances". From the first film to the last it seems that Nick is on a first name basis with every, crook, swindler, chiseler, ex-con and mobster in America from coast to coast. They all seem...
"Godzilla Minus One" - Anyone who knows me knows how much I love the original "Gojira" (in Japanese) from 1954. That film, is a near masterpiece and, while not the first Kaiju film ever made it's certainly the best of the breed. While the original "Gojira" is set in a well recovered Japan of...
I've seen the film at least once over the years.. The one scene that sticks with me is the seduction scene interposed with shots of a stallion literally busting down walls to get at a mare in heat.... NEVER forget that one.

As many have already said... a jacket is an inanimate object... they can't have an "attitude". The man or woman INSIDE the jacket gives the attitude... Living as long as I have I've learned that a certain "presence", if correctly utilized can forestall most problems, even in the sketchiest of...
No biggie. I like a curve ball every now and then... keeps me awake enough to stop drooling on myself! Also I liked the jacket! Jackets and sech are what brought me to this loony bin in the first place. Nice reminder!

I've several jackets with fur/mouton collars. I've an Aero Thunderbay, a B-10, D-1 and several others. I live in the Northeast. When the temps dip downward, and the hawk takes wing and starts to rip and run, a fur collar is a life saver.

"The Fall of the House of Usher" - With Halloween fast approaching we decided to take a gander at some of the multitudinous offering of mayhem on the various streaming channels. This 8 episode offering is loosely based on the works of Poe. It follows the trials and tribulations of the Usher...
After reading a dazzling short story about mathematics I remembered both films but NOT their titles! Thanks FL you just saved me a boatload of searching!

"Barbie" - After being dragged (sans kicking and screaming... much) to the local multi-plex I finally watched "Barbie" on the big screen. Like many I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the film despite its subject matter. While not being a woman (duh) there was much in this film...
As a musician, to be honest Buffet's music did little for me. But people liked/loved what he did and how he did it... so who am I to judge. I have DEFINATE opinions on his "followers" however. Whenever he played in the area you couldn't swing a dead rat without smacking some yahoo in a...
"They Cloned Tyrone" - This Netflix original is one of the most thought provoking film I've watched in a long time. One part "urban" drama (pimps, pushers and prostitutes), one part sci-fi thriller and one part conspiracy fueled fantasy. All three of these elements are mixed together in a...
