Newly created re-creation. Mid 50s heather RDL.
Had a 2 1/4” overwelt, with a self felted hatband. Now sporting copper ribbon and frayed bow with two rows of matched stitching on a 2 9/16” brim. Before and after representation.
Not bad before, better after, IMO.
Me too, Joe. I love the colors, the malleable felt quality and its profile.
A definite favorite of mine that will stay my possession till I part from this planet.
However, I have to replace the severely baconized crumbling sweatband, unfortunately.

I’m not adept dating European hat brands, but guessing from the little I do know I’d guess late 40s to mid 50s. Early 60s is even possible since it seems hats from across the pond maintained quality longer than US did.
Okay, younger, maybe, but leaner is hitting above the belt! Ya don’t have to rub it in about my fat belly! ;-)
And on yours, the bow is situated too far back.
