Oh my, but I've been having a successful November, hat-wise!!
There's a whole thread on these, going all the way back to 2006, so I don't think I need to go into detail for you folks; most of you probably know more about these hats than I do.
Proudly showing off my new-to-me Demon Hanover...
Thank you, Timmy! We really are two birds of a feather. I have twice as many westerns as I do fedoras, and no matter how many hats I buy, that ratio seems to stay pretty much the same!
Darrell, all I know is that the ads 40+ years ago described the Stagecoach Collection hats as having "grosgrain" ribbons; at least, those that had ribbons and not macrame or fiber bands. My only thought about finding something similar would be Googling "striped ribbon." Sorry I can't offer...
Busy morning here, made more aggravating by what I suspect is the start of yet another danged head cold. Still, hats make me happy, and, being as Timmy and I seem to be on the same wavelength, today it's my Resistol Dry Gulch, in navy.
In addition to having a weakness for bowies, I acquired a number of fighters over the years, although many have been dealt away. Of the ones that remain, two of my favorites are a 1S1K by Jim Burke of Mississippi, and a Banshee by Matt Cucchiara of California.
