    Headed to St Louis

Ignore the ads, skip Immo's Pizza, it is poor. By the river there is the Spagetti Factory, great food and service and the Cardinals are always fun to see.

What do you use to shave?

Merkur makes great razors, I have had a couple and liked them, but their blades are poor. Also, try the Derby Extra blades, I have had very good results with them. There is a reason Gillette was the dominat power in razors for so long, they made very usable razors, the later "slim" adjustables...

What has quality and style today

Okay, I will go with fountain pens. Mont Blanc has let their quality control slip from many reports, but Pelikan, Waterman and Lamy are still building superb pens. On the USA front, Shaeffer and Cross still make excellent pens with excellent nibs. And there are several companies making the...

    Differences between cutlasses and sabers?

Just as an aside on close quarters fighting, the Teller Drill is a training exercise used today to train police officers how dangerous edged weapons are. The attacker starts at seven yards away with a knife in his hand and charges the officer. Fewer than ten percent of officers can draw and fire...

what's your favorite shaving brush and why?

Woodfluter made me a little embarrassed, as my first good brush was an Omega and it is still a favorite of mine. It is my travel brush now and is extremely versatile, doing well with creams or soaps and is still an old friend whenever I use it...

Bohemian, once you hit 21 you can apply for a Curio & Relic FFL. The C&R allows you to buy guns over 50 years old or deemed a curio by the ATF as a licensed dealer for collecting. The license is $30 for 3 years and is the best bargain out there. It allows dealers and wholesalers to sell to you...
