How to get started in Fountain Pens

I realized that I had not really gotten specific on some actual recommendations for a new user, so here goes. First, the Pelikan 150 or the 200 series pens. What pens are we carrying today?

For traditional looks, both Cross and Waterman make some very reasonably priced FPs with excellent nibs. If you like a techno look, the Lamy Safari is also in the running.

    What are you wearing today??

Don't usually post in this thread but today was a little nicer. Safari shirt from Cabela's, cuffed and pleated khakis and Stacy Adam's boots. The duty belt is the only thing keeping it from being a really fine day.

One of the best ways to really try a good quality fountain pen is the Waterman Phileas. Reasonably priced, very good nibs and a medium sized pen.You can [ick up a converter on the cheap and then try out various inks...........

    Coffee, grind your own?

Okay Ladies and Gents, who else here goes through the extra effort to grind your own beans? I have to admit that it is worth it to me to spend the extra clean up effort to get that freshest taste possible.
