I can sympathize. Firing rifles a few times from a prison tower without protection ha dona a lot of damage to my left ear especially. When i get "The Look" from the Missus, I know I have not quite gotten it!
Okay guys, I have a question for you. I have a very good shooting Argentine 1911 with heavy finish wear but no pitting. It could easily be restored to a really good looker. It is not a collector's gun by any stretch. Soooooo, should I refinish it?
Well, you guys will understand. I bought a set of grips for a 1911 just because they were so pretty. A really nice set of maple Burl ones. But all my 1911s have nice grips already........I need a keeper.
Nice pick up. The Norincos were heavy duty guns for sure. Was at the NRA Convention today and have to say look at the ATI and Rock Island 1911s for today's budget .45s. Very good, solid guns.
Yeah, I have had to take the length off of several 1911s due to my oversized paws. I saw what a PPK would do to others, I'm not about to try one of those! And wow, those Herret's and Esmerelda grips are just plain fine!
