Howdy folks. I wanted to ask what a good fit for a Pike Brother N1 would be. Im about a 42-43 inch chest, and normally don't like wearing a size 44 because I don't like too much extra chest room. I was just wondering what size N1 I should order, the Medium or Large. Their Medium measures 59cm...
Howdy folks. I'm selling an original 1930's Laskinlamb Grizzly jacket. Its got all the original zippers, labels, cuffs, and the like. If it fit me Id be wearing it, alas it is too small. Id say roughly a size 36-38, so I'm looking for another appreciative home for it. There are some minor torn...
No worries gang, all its pieces are staying together. Any thoughts otherwise were momentary giddy excitement in never having seen a zipper like that in person, which were very quickly replaced with thoughts like "Holy sh** this belongs in a museum!"...so if anybody runs or knows of a museum that...
Does anyone know what a realistic price would be on these? I saw one for 8500 which I found laughable, and a super trashed one for 350. I'm really kind of in the dark on this one.
Howdy Folks,
I thought Id share my latest yard sale find with you all. I was talking to an old fellow in his 80's and told him that I really like leather jackets around the age he was. And he turned around, disappeared into his house and tossed this little gem at me saying "It will only go to...
Howdy there. I had recently been poking around through the forums and found your thread where you made a cloth A1 jacket, and I have to say sir I am damned impressed. I was wondering if those were something you make and sell if if so what might you charge for one. If you don't sell them might I...
I love converting people to B6's. I think they really are the finest jackets around. I have a bare bones stock Eastman b6 the measurements of mine Sz44- Collar width 4'', Seam to bottom 26'', Collar folded from fold to bottom 27''. Id say I have a stocky build, I wouldn't call myself slender by...
I wore an Orchard Branded B3 as a daily wearer for many years. I always stood out from the crowd but never felt self concious because I get 5 to 8 complements a day and questions to where they could get one too. I rarely needed to wear more than a t-shirt underneath down to 0 degrees F. I sold...
I think the knits are on par with high tier repros. The wool tubes, no seams. Fine knits that don't stretch out quickly and the color has a very vintage tone to it that's not often seen these days.
Howdy folks,
I'm back to give another quick review, this time of my Steve McColgan A2. I know these were of considerable interest as a budget A2 and not too much information was available on them. So heres my 2 cents.
Coming in at $524 after shipping the SM Wholesale A2 was great for me as a...
With just a t-shirt under this I am pretty comfortable down to a touch under 40 Fahrenheit, but with just a little bit of layering I could early go to below freezing maybe even to 0 Fahrenheit
Howdy Folks,
I wanted to give a short review of the Eastman Standard B6 with photos because many have asked for one and I haven't seen one done yet.
I recently purchased the Standard B6 from History Preservation Associates. I must say the fellow there is one of the last shining examples of...
Was anyone else not impressed by an Eastman product? I just bought the B6 standard and when it arrived I had a sweeping emotion of "wow it's great", followed by a "dammmm this is thin" it just feels to me that it won't be durable at all and that if I catch it on a door knob wrong it would rip a...
How many inches of chest room should you have with a B3. If my chest measures 42 would an external jacket measurement of 23 pit to pit fit or should you size up? This would be for an Eastman.
Howdy gang. I had a few questions about this Gordon and Ferguson M422a I just picked up. I was wondering if anyone could help me get a rough date on it, the contract is NXs 416. I was also wondering if anyone could tell me what the going rate for a really nice original like this one is. I picked...
