Hey, I am sort of on the hunt for a sewing class or something.
so... I can not find any near my area (vancouver...) I was just wondering if maybe you knew of some int he portland/metro area???
if not, you wanna come over and help me make a skirt or dress... i got a bunch of cool vintage...
this maybe is not the place for this.... but i HIGHLY suggest checking out Etsy for CHEAP vintage patterns. I just scored a few for about 1 dollar each!!!!:eusa_clap
total score...
I went to the local "old glory" antique mall today. ALL of the old ladies who work there LOVE my son.. so they are always SUPER NICE TO ME.
well today, i spotted a bunch of vintage patterns..
like 4 dollars a pop!
and one lady said, OH MY thats WAYYYY TOO MUCH, and knocked em...
OH MY GOSH! I would LOVE one of those! do you make em and sell them?
i know I should probably not ask on here.. but that is just sooooo cool.
I would love the patron saint of mothers... blast, I cant remeber the saint, I will have to go look it up!
those are awesome!
I am catholic, so i am...
i have been there, done that hehehehe. well i plan to have more, but I dont know, i am too short for this dress, and I would not want to alter it, I guess i can throw it up on ebay, and see what I can do there...
or something who knows.
[huh]
oh i am not upset, I was jsut wondering. I am probably going to sell the dress. as It never gets use in my wardrobe, and someone should own it. its exquisite...
I wanted to have more background on it so i was not making stuff up lol
help me date this evening gown?
Ok, So I bought this like 6 years ago as a prom dress... and never wore it.
but i got it for about 65$ at a vintage store.. they lady said it was from the 20s. But i really Dont think it is.. but I am totally unsure.
its really long and in wonderful...
GOOD POINT, i know that.. why did i not think of that.
ARGH VLV is on EVERY SINGLE auction i look at.
i want it to be over just so i can stop hearing about viva.. :eusa_doh: :)
I have this problem alot... the 60s and 70s thing, i am just not into it..
But we have a few killer vintage stores where you can nab some neat stuff super cheap... its like a treasure hunt sometimes!

as an avid antique collector, I have always been around vintage clothes, as they are always at shops or estate sales when i go on...

I wish I was better at sewing.
