I have five Derby/Bowlers from the 20s, 30s, 40s and they all fit great. They are all a hard felt but they were made to be a "Hard Hat" way back in the 1850s. Me and my best man wore ours at my wedding.

Thats why I keep mine on my head and don't care what others may think. Its the safe place and when wearing a vintage hat its the only place to put it. Hope you can get the stain out.
