The one thing a Black hat can truely be worn with,
is if you have a white tux, and wear black wingtips, and pants with it.
Ive been in that situation, and its really the only way i can wear a black hat my self. It really all just depends on what colors fit you.
Sharp,
Yea i probably would have done the same thing had i had the same
knowlege. And yes, I still am in school. Im just a freshman in highschool.
I just know some people on "other forums" Have done the same thing
with good intentions and ended up getting banned from ebay, and one...
just to let you know,
Interacting with auctions like that is aginst ebay rules. If the seller finds out your screen name sharptoys, he can report you to ebay and your account will get banned.
Just givin you a heads up

Ive got a Herbert Johnson Homburg up on ebay right now.
It has a 6 inch crown and could probably easily be reblocked to a indy
style hat.

Tank, Ive got a akubra snowy river that i bought off ebay, and sent to Steve delk to get blocked, and its Very Classy now! There are black snowy rivers which would make great dress hats. Also, using leather dye is a very bad idea. If you want to change the color of the fawn hat...

Ive just won this hat off ebay,
From what Ive
been told its from around the 1930's.
If thats true than its the oldest hat ive ever owned.
Ill let you know how it is when it arives.
I was just excited about the win and thought id share :D .
Kindest Regards,
Adam
When my hats get wet,
I keep them on my head untill they are dry. Then I take it off
and set it upsidown on the crown. I also take the hat off
my head and put it on my hat block when it gets wet. It helps
in keeping the hats shape.
Adam
would a Resistol stage coach self conforming, Cowboy be
any good? or would that be just as bad? Im deciding between
this hat and a Herbert Johnson, 6" crown 2"inch brim, which is one
size to small which i would block up. Which is a better choice you think?
Adam
Of all the hat companys i know of,
i know the least about Resistol Hats.
So ive got some questions.
1. When where they made?
2. Were they bought out by hatco?
3. Are they still sold?
4. When were the "Self Conforming" hats made?
5. Hows the felt?
Thanks,
Adam
