I always thought that unless you are in the restoration business, you don't restore a car for profit motive - it's the love of the artwork - perhaps it will appreciate in value to recover expenditures, but usually if I was even close to even I was happy. Albeit, a good friend of mine had a nack...
I didn't think the third was all that horrible, except I found after my head cleared, #'s 4 and 5 didn't have much effect. Of course, no work is done afterwards :)
So # 3 is "Happy Landings"? Choose a place with carpet on the floor! I like your supervisors attitude though - oops it's nearly 3:00
Ah Macallan - another nectar.:eusa_clap
I'm stopping this evening for the dalmore, then to the cigar shop - it might be a good weekend!
thank you for the recommendations.
I saw this at the liquor store and almost picked it up - I will now.Sounds like a good flavor. Is it a dark smokey peat flavor?:cheers1:
Do you have a cigar recommendation to go with it?
Shopping for hats and coats at church is an old trick! I thought that was heading there.
If there are any more thieves out there like this one, send them my way:D
Bourbon - Woodford Reserve with Bitters (or Bookers)
Vodka Martini - Ketel one or Belvedere
Jamesons Irish whiskey
Lavagulin single malt
Dalwhinny Single Malt
Cao Ila
I sure wish I had enough hair left to wear mine this way - [huh]
Guess I should be looking at purchasing more hats!
I've been trying to find a shop that will still give me a shave as well - seems no one wants to do it in my area.
I believe the better directors knew what colors to use for contrast so the b/w movies looked "Right"
I agree - some of the military WWII footages that are in color look so different from "12 O'Clock High" that it is amazing.
Just picked up a bottle of Caol Ila today and am looking forward to it. I too prefer this and the Lagavulin.
But to reiterate another comment in this thread, they get more attention from me in cold weather. (I visit the Bourbons through the summer)lol
Guess that's why I like "Sepiatone" - it adds a whole new dimension.
The black and white movies allowed us to imagine it whatever we wanted to - we actually exercised our imaginations. How long will it be until the "High definition" won't be good enough?
fully agree on Coop - he was the greatest. IMHO he could fill any role.
(i.e. "Dallas" and the top hat he wore as the dandy)
Was'nt he the actor who when reading and preparing a new role said the first thing he would do would be to find just the right hat for the character he played?
Just watched my first episode of "Mad Men" this week and realized I need to re-decorate my office.
I may have to hire a driver though if I could - the "Two Martini" is nothing compared to what these guys seem to down in a day! :D
I should have gone into advertising too Mr. Scotrace!
Having been a working cowboy, I have to say to do the work I wore nothing but Wranglers - they get the job done. However, when I was flush and could afford it I'd spring for some cotton duck pants by Wah Maker that have no hip pockets, and are built to wear suspenders with.
But I admit that...
this is a wonderful method. I buy a lot of handmade boots and the boys that make White's Packers told me to do this too - it works.
For avoiding blisters, use duct tape - tape it on your foot where you are getting blisters. I think something in the glue has a healing effect!
wow! That must have been an interesting job getting those fellow to stand still to be shorn/shaved.
I'd like to see some pictures of that operation.
An interesting concept - I wonder how quickly the fur would grow back.
