Sloan, I think as you point out we are all entitled to our opinions. Sometimes with knowledge on a specific subject comes a viewpoint.
I have no knowledge on Aero's non military jackets so they may well be the best out in the market. As for their military A2's that is not the case.
As for the...
Thanks for the kind thoughts.
I purchased the Aero's and as my knowledge and tastes grew so did my movements to buy better quality A2 jackets. In terms of fit, quality of leather, colour and yes period specifications.
Have I got them now. No traded them up for better suppliers.
We are all...
Please do join.
Members enjoy their Aero, Eastman Kelso, RMNZ, Goodwear leather jackets and all are welcome.
Its common knowledge that Aero do great "non military " jackets but on the VLJ forum it does specialise more on military jackets and thst is clearly not Aero's strength.
On this...
Ha ha I think you are the one doing that to yourself with such comments !!
The forum is about judgement on jacket qualities not insults to other members.
I have owned several Aero's including purchased direct when I visited the factory.
I have also owned Eastman, RMNZ and Goodwears
All A2 of course.
I appreciate Aero do lots of other types of jackets and I have no knowledge of the strength of those in terms of quality etc
Reading the posts on...
What a pity they have selected Aero as the supplier. I know to some(most of the folks here) the fact that Aero's A2 jackets are so poor quality in terms of leather, the designs are more close to Mall Jackets than true contract specifications and the fit is so poor is neither here nor there but...
Just pointing out how the price has fallen to something getting towards a good deal.
If you would have paid the $1200 initial price point you might well feel you overpaid.
After a 5 day Ebay auction last week it failed to get a bid at $600 so whether the extra $20 dollar decrease makes the...
Third time listed.
Started at $1200 and then quickly fell to $900 before its last unsold 5 day price last week of $600 shipped
This time this 18775P is down to by a whole $20 to $579.99
The lack of a label reduces its value considerably and with it being resprayed (depot ?) it has its faults...
Its all a personal thing so whatever you feel comfortable with
I would prefer a smaller Pit to Pit as its just to loose around the waist for my ideal taste.
200 ??
Dollars or Pounds ?
Either way this is a very strange situation
Just looked at previous posts history on the same jacket and always its up for sale but no pictures
Suspicious

A week or so later I have to say it is the best A2 fitting jacket I have ever had.
Since I got it I have been wearing it every day and thankfully the English climate has already meant it has faced Heavy and Light rain, Sunshine and even Hail.
Just snow to come !
I have also been working...
Having recently been looking at a thread of started by Thor about the correct A2 fit of course its all in what we think suits us best.
Personally I prefer a more short fit.
Thankfully my body is not yet quite so far gone to make it unacceptable !!
I have tried to take a few pictures of...
A parcel arrived from John Chapman of Goodwear 10 days ago of the Goodwear A2 Monarch.
I took a couple of pictures out in the sunshine on day 1 to show that wonderful russett colour.

The consortium have already got in there and substituted the real one for a clever copy and hope no one will spot the difference.
Even now it is being unpicked stitch by stitch by a team of virgin Indian and Chinese, girls, only with their pre adult teeth to prevent any hand damage to allow...
Ha ha
Lets hope you are a big fat Norwegian like those big Americans !!
At least then you can feel happy that you have used up a lot more material
Seriously if you were not being charged for VAT the jackets would be cheaper and you actually might buy more.
Both Aero and Eastman could...
Not wishing to upset anyone, but the average size tends to be 2 or 3 sizes larger for the USA than any other country, therefore uses a good few feet more leather, which is another price balancing factor.
Thank you, thank you my dear fat American cousins for once again saving us poor Brits...
A little olive oil and gentle working in with your fingers will age that name tag more in keeping with the knit colour if you want a less contrasting view to the jacket.
Hopefully its not full of black marker pen !!!!
Looking good
Alan
