I always considered Frye a fashion boot, had a pair many years ago and they were beautiful but just not rugged enough.
I had a new pair of Chippewas fall apart on me- never again.
Always partial to HH, Dingo, Acme, Durango, all of which lasted for years.
horsewaffe lol
Too funny!
I loved my Z, but it's a western thing...
You've got to have something that won't get eaten by the potholes here too.
Much easier getting around in the BMR.
Had to go out Saturday for hours and shovel out a long path during our bad storm. Power went out for 17...
Nice shot Johnny- (my z looked like that for a long time...than I got busy!)
It's very hard to find someone who really, really knows the nuances of the z. All the emissions crap fouls the permormance of these gems terribly.
I suggest combing the zcar forums (and there are many) to find the...
Yup, it's true- gotta have long sleeves for the bike.
Ladies purses...heeheeeheeee.lol
Squeeze into a 280zx? I just got rid of my beloved '81 280zxgl (237k+ miles) and thought it was way more roomy than the 325is I've got now. (I wear a 44 too)...
Great, great cars, but only in the SW...
I'm breakin' in the Cherry (yes Cherry!) KOR and it feels soo good. I've got a couple Legendaries and even an LW. One of the nice things about the KOR is it doesn't have any fiber backing, just pure thick hide. The Legendary fill keeps you really, really warm, which is great if and when you need...
I concur w/ HD. I've got a King o' the Road - I've got other fqhh jackets, and the Aero is just amazing. Thick, heavy, very substantial .
...and I hate wimpy leather.
Definitely worth the wait, and I got mine when Mark said I would!
Sleeves definitely too short for the bike.
Have you considered a drop-tail back? Keeps cold air off the heinie.lol
Aero are absolutely gorgeous, but they are expensive and you will wait.
I was gifted an LW, it's nice, but not 'all that'.
If you liked the Schott, but need something...
That scruffy Arturo is cool- wear it!
You need slightly longer sleeves when riding a motorcycle anyway to cover your wrists. Your friend doesn't know this.
Make sure you give Aero the right measurements & fit for the coat with a thick flannel underneath- remember to allow for it, unless you...
FYI, this was made by Cirrus, sold under a different name in the early 80s.
This was made of a very heavy horse that was hard to work with.
They do not offer horsehide any longer.
This info came from a contact at the company.
These are nice, but I don't think you've got horsehide here.
After a couple decades hh develops a certain look & character. Google some vintage hh images to see what I mean.
Good Luck!;)
I ordered my Aero end o' May, and it showed up today right on schedule.
Mark is excellent to deal with, and I was glad he's here.
Anyone who's ever dealt with international purchasing and shipping should be familiar with what an enormous P.I.T.A. it can be between customs, tracking and...
This sounds wildly questionable- why would a reputable business lie and keep away horsehide aficionados?
Aero and other UK clothiers offer horsehide, plus it's common knowledge horsemeat is regularly consumed by Europeans.
Did someone at this business actually tell you this?
Good info! Thanks!
This is nice heavy fqhh also, which Cirrus isn't offering.
Adam? Who knows- looks like that might be Lillith modeling it!;)
I've emailed to see if they don't have some history on/with this- could be that they went through a name change, subcontracted, or had a shop in...
'Cirrus' on the main zip, and simply 'A' on the breast pocket.
Handling the jacket, though in terrific shape, suggests earlier origins.
No shoulder gussets, but extended width to compensate & short but adequate sleeves. Antiquated/obsolete cut.
Look at the way the collar snaps have left...
