Thanks!
Most likely a Stratoliner in Walnut or Chocolate? Or I suppose a Stetson Dune in Acorn? The Stratoliner having a slightly shorter brim and the Dune having a slightly wider brim.

This Royal Deluxe OR in Caribou finds itself atop my head at most gigs lately.
Other adventures this week included purchasing a new American Hat Co straw hat for summer, and recreasing a teardrop Campdraft Deluxe into a cattleman crease and then BACK to a teardrop after determining it looked...
Regarding your long oval question, mine have formed to my head pretty well but it's taken some work.
I have two Heritage grade Campdrafts and they were really comfy right of the box, requiring a pretty short time to break in- maybe five hours of time each. The sweats are softer and the felt is...
Drove over to The Boot Store in Lexington today and thoughts of summer prompted a straw hat purchase on this rainy winter day.
An American Hat Company straw hat. It came open crown, so I still need to tweak it a little, but it's nice to find long oval options still!

Stellar hats today, everyone!
Modern Royal Deluxe OR in Sage.
Also, has anyone seen that there's a 1950's 7x Clear Beaver on ebay for $250? (I have no financial interest, but I've wanted one and I'm curious to hear your thoughts...)
Have a great weekend

Had to pull out the Akubra (Bushman) for a rainy night hike this evening!
...and also wore it earlier this week during our unseasonably warm day prior to the return of real winter temps.
Awesome hats this week, everyone!

SOLD
I'm selling a modern open road 6x if anyone is interested. Here is the ebay link. I will ship VERY quickly and it will be packaged perfectly.
If you happen to be interested just let me know.
I've taken care of it. It will arrive exactly as it looks in these pics. If you're thinking...
Good hat, bad lighting. A really pleasing gig last night, topped by the OR Royal Deluxe in Caribou, which also served as nice rain protection while loading/unloading in a heavy 40° freezing rain!
My parents even swung by to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary later this month. Good stuff...
Just a super soft and comfy plain ole Stratoliner at our gig last night at one of our favorite places to play.

Thanks! I enjoy seeing all these pics daily and definitely appreciate the vintage and modern makers that you all post. Everyone has such stellar hats on this thread!
Hopefully in time I can gather some vintage or custom felt now that I have collected a few colors/styles of the easier to find...
I think the Kuhl line of jackets are pretty solid. They tend to be more form fitting but still allow for good range of motion. Materials are solid. Patagonia makes an "Iron Forge" line of workwear that are really nice and sturdy. They are more loose fitting.
Wearing my workhorse, the Akubra Bushman, on a rather muddy dayhike near my house.
I really enjoyed seeing everyone's hats posted during Christmas.

Nice hike in the 6X Open Road in Chocolate. I like that the top is starting to show some wear and lighten up a bit, since the color is a little darker than I'd like...

This week saw a lot of the modern Stratoliner and the OR Royal Deluxe in Sage. The Sage is proving to be surprisingly versatile!
Does anyone know the answer to if the "B" designation is standard to modern Stratoliner? The box and tag says "Stratoliner B"...is every strat technically called a...
