Nice
I prefer hats with a wider ribbon, however, your hat looks very striking. Seems it didn't take Art very long once he announced that you came into the queue. Seems that was less than a week ago, as I recall. Anyway, enjoy your hat.
Me too!
That seems to be a common theme amongst us newbies. I'm having the same problem. Posted a couple of pics and they came out like thumbnail representations.
They should have one of those "sticky" threads on the subject. [huh] [huh]
Handsome Hat
That's a right handsome hat there Andykev:eusa_clap . I was unaware that Art did straws. I'd be very interested in seeing some of his other straws.
Growing older but not up
I enjoyed this as a kid and I still enjoy it today. Have it on DVD and watched it just last night. Hilarious, G rated fun.
:) "...and they even used Bon Ami.":)
Wiseguy, first off fantastic looking hat and a cool handle for your moniker.
I'm very much interested and very much appreciate you sharing your pics. I can only hope that my new lid looks as good on me as yours does on you.
I've noticed, based on my felt samples from Art, that my screen...
Point taken
Point taken.
I'm basng the brim size on a couple of other hats I have. One is a 2 5/8" brim and the other is 2 3/4". That brim size just seems to fit me. Seems to me that buying something over the net without first trying it is a major challenge, at least for me. Not to...
Whiskey
As of this moment I've chosen the "whiskey" color. That could change until I'm actually in queue. 2 1/2" to 2 3/4" brim with over welt and a black or dark brown ribbon about 1 3/4". Again, I may continue to vacillate on my specs.
Nice
Nice looking lid. I should be coming up in que pretty soon for a VS. Then my bird, like yours, will have a companion. Unfortunately the color I wanted for my first VS didn't come in the lite-felt. Art assured me that all his felts are relatively light.
Fountain Pen
Just picked up a Pelikan Toledo medium tip fountain pen. Filled it with Levenger cobalt blue. Wow, I didn't know a fountain pen could glide across the page like this thing.
It's all relative
Too many hats; not enough hats; it's really all relative - to your spouse, that is. Hats to me are like guitars - can you really have too many? I don't know yet.
