Also, you cant use traditional dyes after boxed henna ...untill it grows out, so henna is a real longterm commitment. I used it about 6 years ago and regretted it as it wasnt vibrant enough, was a pain to use and once I got bored with it I just had to get it cut out.

Thanks Ada Veen, Ive just ordered the misses jacket and skirt pattern. :)
Although had to do it secretly as hubby knows that I already have a backlog of sewing projects:D.
You may have just outgrown the Studio Fix. I dont know how old you are but Im 40 and cant use anything powdery on my face, it just ages me.
The upside is red lipstick now looks great!:D
Sorry, I haven't been much help have I.
Hi, Ive got a pair of 30s shoes that are cracked and papery. Do you think the leather treatments would do any good now or are they best left in the box now?
I feel exactly the same way about fabrics and fit. I will not buy anymore modern clothes now.
I do 17th Century stuff too Kamikat, although I do spend most of my time in breeches as I go on the field as a musketeer. Ive got to knock myself up some 1660's girly clothes over the next 4 weeks:eek:
Hi Zaika, As Pretty Faythe said there are lots of curvy ladies on here, Im a modern 16 to 18 and love my figure in vintage clothes, not so keen on it in todays fashions. You could definately make some of your own clothing. Ive made this dress and have found it really flattering...
Thanks ladies, I phoned a dance store in uk yesterday and they stock them:eusa_clap Just got to convince hubby that I need another pair of shoes, well two actually as Ive seen a pair in Clarks that are lovely and would go so well with a handbag I bought recently. Any tips on persuading husbands?:D
Thanks Red, I will see if I can find something similar in the uk.
Thanks Fleur, I did spot the Watermelon red in boots, Im worried it may be a little too dark. I have to be careful now as dark colours make me look older:(
Oh sorry, :eusa_doh: They are Aris Allen Rugcutters. http://www.dancestore.com/1aarugcutter-leath.html. They also come in red. I just happened to post under remix rather than start another thread at the time.

Sorry, me again. I really need help deciding which colour shoes to buy. has anyone seen the rugcutters in all colours and can give me their opinion on which colour they look best in. They would be for everday wear with dresses and skirts. Sorry, I promise this is the last time I will mention them:o
Hi Kamikat, I have the remington rag rollers. I like them alot. My only faults I can pick with them are that they take a long time to heat up and there are not enough of them in the pack. They are very comfy though and give a lovely curl if left in for an hour. Not a quick set for the mornings:)...
I couldn't find Hot Tamale in Boots or Superdrug today, do any of the Uk ladies know if it is sold in the Uk?
Or can anyone suggest another similar colour?
