    I need your help....yes, you.

Classic Style was front and center on the men's interest section at the North Richland Hills, Texas B&N today. Included a "Featured Title" placard as well. BTW, great issue! Marc

Well, he did say their fanciest outfits, not the fanciest outfits! :) Signed, the other Marc, esq.

For those of you in DFW

It sure has been a crazy month for weather. Even though the tornado risk was low, I took the opportunity to teach my daughter the safe place in the house when the sirens sounded. She ended up having a blast reading books by flashlight in the stair closet. Kids are the best at making lemonade...

Amen to that MissQueenie! Couldn't have said it better myself.

For those of you in DFW

No tornados here in North Fort Worth, but some hail as large as golf balls. Thankfully it didn't last long! Marc

    Brylcreem- Where to buy?

Try Wally World. Can't remember what I paid last time I bought it, but it seems like it was quite a bit less than $7+ a tube. Marc

I just picked up Issue 1 of Classic Style

Thanks for the heads up. I found several copies at my B&N. The lady behind the register really perked up at the magazine cover and commented, "that's a good look!" Still plenty of people out there that appreciate style.

American Crew has a pomade like product called Fiber that is not shiney. Has pretty good hold.

Chicago - Windy City Hot Spots?

Thanks everybody for the great input! Especially you beaucaillou. Webster's sounds like just my kind of place. I'll be imbibing there for sure. Marc

    Any Austin-ites here?

Never seen Mike Flanigin, but it's hard to go wrong with a B-3 based trio. Hmm, sounds like a good excuse for me to make a trip to Austin! And doesn't that just figure about Junior Brown. My particular problem is I always hear about shows the day after they happen. I've got a real talent...

    Pomade

Scott, this is what I do, with great results. I mix Groom and Clean with RC Hairdressing at a 1:1 ratio. Hold is just right (solid but not stiff). The other benefit is that the G&C seems to emulsify the RC so that it washes out completely with one washing. When I use strictly RC it usually...

    Any Austin-ites here?

Check out the Continental Club. Depends on the night, but is usually a good place to hang out. When you first get there find a copy of the weekly Austin Chronicle for the nightlife. Bands worth seeing include Shorty Long, Paris 49, Wayne Hancock, Dale Watson, Heybale. Plenty of others, but...

Chicago - Windy City Hot Spots?

It looks like I'll be making a trip to Chicago for work in mid-August. It's a Saturday/Sunday stay, but I'm thinking about heading out a few days early to spend some time enjoying the night life. I'm a jazz buff, and I hear this is a great town for jazz clubs. Right now the one place on my...

    Your signature cocktail.

When it comes to cocktails, I'm all about gin. My first choice is a Tom Collins. I also enjoy a Gimlet, Aviation, Martini and good ol' G&T. Marc

    Band of Brothers

I'll second that, Burgett's books are a great read. One man's perspective of the 101st. I proudly have all three. Did he ever finish the fourth?

    Manners & Etiquette

I wouldn't sweat it, tell your wife they were already well on their way to divorce if this insignificant event pushed them over the edge! Marc
