I hate it when people wait until the final total comes up and then only then will they start digging through their purse to find and pull out payment, wasting more of my time. Did they honestly think they were going to get their items for free?
My wardrobe advisor (a.k.a., wife) has told me that caps are a no go. However, I'll show her this thread and maybe she'll reverse her position. Personally, I think that she just doesn't want me to buy more hats. Is 18 fedoras too much? I think not!
I have close to twenty fedoras in my growing collection, ranging from western style to dress formal. I always wear a hat now and people that know me expect it. I wear them with every possible combination of attire. It's a matter of confidence. I always try to, however, attempt a little color...

I'm wearing my modern Stetson Stratoliner. I replaced the thin ribbon with a more traditional one (which may be considered blasphemy). I think it looks much better...
I feel the sweet spot for brim sizes for the majority of people run from 2 1/4" to 2 1/2". As for black hats making your look older, I think that might have some truth to it but it can relate to racial features. I have classic Italian lines and looks, so those dark hats give me that old world...
