Thanks jkingrph! I'll have a look at the Mont Blanc inks and the Parker Sonnet. I'd like a pen that is not too chunky but still has character.
Norwich (Norfolk) is in the UK, there are quite a lot of military bases here, RAF amongst them. I don't live in one though :)
Got a recent funny comment from a drunk. I was walking through a park and this guy belches and shouts 'Hey! It's Cruella Deville!'.
I guess it's the hair and lipstick - I didn't have any puppies in tow.
Herdick, my favourite is the Ingrid Bergman fountain pen from Mont Blanc, it is just what I want but far off my budget. They are so beautiful.
Deacon, thank you for the link, I will have to find a British retailer, I like it!
I have a standard Parker fountain pen, but would like to have to lovelier ladies fountain pen. Any advice on brands and models? I would say that my limit is about £75/$120. My ideal fountain pen would be ivory and black or just ivory, with a fine nib.
On another note, I would like some scented...
Thanks all, it was a swell party! I knew a photographer took pics of me in full length, hopefully I can post a better picture if the dress and the shoes (they are rather amazing ;) )
From Vintage Norwich Awards on Monday night, here is a snapshot of me (in the red dress) and my lovely friends!
Red dress from Stop Staring
Red suede shoes
Huge vintage lily brooch
Dungarees, an old mens t-shirt and a chiffon scarf over my curls.. oh and a whole lot of paint smudges! Been painting my front lounge the most perfect shade of matte teal. An added bonus is that the paint is called 'pencilskirt blue' from a new line of vintage colours.
Obviously no pictures...
Roadier, that is stunning!!
I finally found the right paint for my lounge, where I have lovely wooden display cabinets and a secretaire, a big old trunk for a coffee table and colonial style prints (british / indian colonial..). I got a superb, ultra matte teal'ish color but since I am painting...
I too find it hard to adapt makeup that looks great without glasses, but a bit blah with. I try to make them look bigger with applying my ivory matte eyeshadow on the entire lid and a dab in the inner corner of my eyes too. Also lightening the area over the crease (where I blend a matte...
I feel the same, but stockists are only in London and it seems like they don't even have the colour(s) anymore. I looked at her Amazon.com shop but shipping to the UK is 40$! I'll try and email her website shop instead and ask..
Hi Kamikat! Yeah I have tried them, but didn't find a color that I really liked and on me Russian Red and the Besame ones are more matte and better colors for me personally :)
Miss Tuppence you look fantastic and your pictures are the absolute best vintage style I have ever seen (and I have seen a lot!) they look like something out of a Pathé reel!
Spitfire - thank you :)
