Really nice condition on this, but I may put a TAR on. Kinda feel like I’m in a ‘wrapped present’ with the ribbon half the height of the crown.

I’m wondering if there is an answer as to the how, and perhaps a why, the underside of the brim is felted in the opposite direction as the crown.
It appears to be quite thick as indicated by the calipers.
