I was wondering what people think of Prada's Spring/Summer 2012 collection, what with its 1950s rockabilly hot rod inspired clothes, shoes, and handbags?
Since finding a one-piece 30s culotte dress, I've been rather obsessed with 'em. The one I had was just that annoying bit too small to keep and wear comfortably, but boy was it cute! Anyone else own any 30s culottes or culotte-dresses?
I just realized a gal in an early 30s colour photo is wearing a beach pj get up in the exact fabric I had repro'd from the above pattern. Wow, cool! I definitely need the matching hat, too!
I love this! My pal over at Nudeedudee on etsy is actually planning on releasing a similar design! It would totally look amazing in plaid. Hmmm, can we be twinsies, Miss Sis? :)
Neat, Miss Sis! Can't wait to see!
I found an original bolero and wore it yesterday as part of a fun outfit, but forgot to take pics. Will have to do so, too! In the mean-time, here's the image of the ebay listing:
Such dashing and smashing ensembles!!! I have been practically living in this 1930s red trimmed floral day dress and my Re-mix 'Emily" shoes (which look very much like pairs of white sandals seen in the 1936 sears catalogs).
I had the fabric in this beach pj pattern (below left) reproduced by Victory Fabrics (http://www.victoryfabrics.etsy.com) and am hoping to make myself a pair with bolero using Wearing History's "Lounging at the Lido" pattern http://www.wearinghistorypatterns.com?
