Have any of you used one of those hair gloss kits? I stopped coloring my hair in January because it was getting too dry and damaged, but I loved the way hair color made it so shiny. I was wondering if the gloss was drying or damaging too??
In the world of horses/horse racing, the Preakness is a pretty big deal. The Kentucky Derby is probably the biggest, but the Preakness would be a close second, so if you want to dress up, I'd say it would be a good place for it, especially in a suite.
I was shy, liked to read books, play with Hot Wheels and Tonka trucks. I was a tom-boy, I loved cars. I was swimmer, both for fun, and competitively in high school. The only stereotypical "girlie" thing I was into was horses. I still have one, so I guess I never grew out of that. Still play...
Don't forget that it's okay to pass on a double yellow, or the breakdown lane if you're on a freeway. And that you must follow at a distance no greater then 6 inches from the bumper of the car in front of you.
That's why it's a good idea to get under/uninsured motorist coverage as well. All my cars have it. I know a lot of people who've have been hit by somebody with no licence/registration/insurance. It can be a REAL headache. Not to mention the number of hit-and-runs that go on around here.
I started my very first sewing class today. Hopefully I'll catch on and be making some cute stuff soon. If not, at least maybe some cute pillows, lol .
Old daily driver....
I've driven that car all over southern California. We're in the process of tearing into the straight eight to get it back on the road. It's all original, but we are going to convert it to 12 volts.
New daily driver....
This is the concept, we're finishing...
I don't dress vintage either. In fact the only true vintage things I have are some of my grandmothers jewelry, and I've never worn a bit of it!! I dress more in a "rockabilly" style then vintage because I'm very tall and haven't found anything vintage that fits me right. (Mostly I look like...
There is a psychobilly kinda group from San Diego called Deadbolt. They did a whole album about truck drivers, my husband is a truck driver. His internet nickname is 'TruckdrivinSOB' from the Deadbolt song, it used to be Voodoo Trucker, (the title of the album). I took the 'Voodoo' from that...
I want some tacos!! Growing up here in San Diego, I can't go a week with-out some good Mexican food. I swear I'm just a pale Mexican!!! (My first solid food was tortillas and refried beans after all :D)
I'm a stay-at-home mom, so the 'net is the only place where I can talk to fellow grown-ups, (or not-so grown-ups :D) in my dirty jammies while doing laundry and planning dinner.
I need a life
I went to Wal-Mart this morning and I found Lottabody setting lotion there in the ethnic hair care section. Since I'm too lazy to drive across town and get the pillow rollers from Target, I went ahead and got some foam ones from Wal-Mart. They are lime green, size "large", made by Goody, (I...
It was pretty cool. It was something about the history of tattoos or body art or something like that. I don't really remember, it was quite a few years ago. I think I saw it in a book store in the mall. It was with the fancy, (aka expensive) coffee table or art book section.
I have only one tattoo right now, (planning on a WHOLE lot more, perhaps full sleeves, and a back piece), and four piercings.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE some tattooed men!! I like "greaser" guys... that's why I married one. There's just something about the "bad boy" look that makes me swoon :o...
I meant the pink ones too, they do have them in different colors, they had a multi-pack at Wal-Mart. But the pillow ones look so much more comfortable. I might try them. I'm not sure how many were in the package I saw at the "buy one get one half off". I saw them at Target too, they were $7...
foam rollers or pillow rollers??
I was going to go get some curlers this evening or tommorrow.
Do you gals like the foam ones, (like they have at Wal-Mart?), or are the "pillow" ones better? I saw the pillow ones on sale at Walgreen's at 'buy one get one half off'. How many do you think...
I've often wondered myself.
Both my sisters are "trend followers", my one sister spends all her husbands money on Coach purses she leaves on the ground so her dogs can pee on them and her kids can walk on them. She "has to" get a new car every four years, (or less). My other sister is the...
