Good point Lizzie, looking back at small town Indiana in the 1960's and early 1970's there were still signs of this behavior. If you were on the lower end of the social or economic ladder there was always this undertone that it was your fault and there was something wrong with you.
Me too, came down with something around the middle of December and still have it in one way or another now. I suspect it will not go away until the weather warms up.
I like the look and would possible get a pair if the prices were lower. That much money for shoes I would only wear a couple times a year does not justify it for me.
My Dad worked in construction in the 50's and 60's, yuke was a term I heard many times when I was growing up. I got to visit some of his job sites and saw those things in real life. They were massive to an eight year old.
